Total Protection — What it covers.
Total Protection warranties cover accidental damage from handling such as drops, spills, and cracked screens, mechanical and electrical failures after the manufacturer warranty, device repairs, and insurance replacements when a device is beyond repair. Plans often include tech support for setup and connectivity issues and may offer same-day or fast cracked-screen repair options for eligible devices. Some plans include battery replacements and access to our repair network including uBreakiFix locations for in‑person service.

What it does not cover
Most plans exclude loss and theft unless the specific plan lists theft/loss coverage, intentional or fraudulent damage, cosmetic damage that does not affect function, accessories not included in the original box, damage caused by prohibited use or modification, and pre-existing conditions before coverage start. Plans also contain aggregate annual claim limits and may require a service fee or deductible per claim.

1. What begins coverage and when does it start? Coverage begins on the enrollment date or after any specified waiting period noted in the plan documents.  
2. Is theft covered? Theft is covered only if the specific plan includes theft/loss protection; not all Asurion plans include it.  
3. Is loss automatically covered? Loss is excluded unless explicitly included in the plan terms.

8. Is same-day repair guaranteed? Same-day repair is available in select areas and depends on claim approval, parts, and technician availability.  
9. Will a deductible apply? A nonrefundable service fee or deductible per approved claim may apply depending on the plan.  
10. How are claims started? Claims are filed online or by phone through Asurion or the partner retailer; documentation may be requested and claim outcomes depend on the terms.
